Surgical procedures in the treatment of lower third molars included represent
situations frequently encountered in clinical practice in the dental office.
Despite being common and routine procedures, they are not without complications
The aim of the course is to provide current guidelines and the correct approach to the
most frequent clinical surgical situations, showing for each the most appropriate evaluations
preoperative. Particular attention will be paid to the correct protocol of tooth surgery
included showing the choice of a suitable flap design, avulsion arrangements
of the elements according to position and dental anatomy, and indications for the execution
of surgical sutures. Trainees will also be shown an extensive review of possible
complications related to this type of surgery and guidelines for proper management . A
Part of the course will be devoted to viewing clinical videos of lower third molars in different
inclusion positions that will allow better learning of the protocol.
